Filip De Schouwer, partner, practises corporate law (including mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings), real estate and general commercial and contract law for local and international clients, and also for government institutions.
He regularly presents seminars and workshops on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, changes in corporate law, etc., to entrepreneurs, investors and accountants.
Filip is a board member of VONK & Zonen (an agency focused on literary productions) and a member of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Flanders.
Filip is a Legal 500 and IFLR recommended lawyer for Corporate and M&A, and Real Estate.
Prior to being a partner at Cresco, Filip was a partner at Ambos NBGO, and an associate at Linklaters and Allen & Overy.
He obtained his law degree at the Leuven University (KUL, 1998). Filip also participated in an exchange program at Northwestern University, Chicago (1997) and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Cambridge University, Trinity Hall (1999).
