Johan Vermeir


Johan prac­tices intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty, infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy and com­mer­cial law. 

He advis­es clients on IT relat­ed cor­po­rate part­ner­ing trans­ac­tions, com­pli­ance with pri­va­cy law and gen­er­al intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty relat­ed matters.


Johan obtained his bach­e­lor and master’s degree at the Katholieke Uni­ver­siteit Leu­ven and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Aberdeen (UK – Eras­mus) with a main focus on com­mer­cial and Euro­pean Law. 

He also obtained an addi­tion­al master’s degree in IP and ICT Law at the Katholieke Uni­ver­siteit Leu­ven (2019).

Before join­ing Cresco in 2020, Johan worked at the Sec­ond Board of Appeal of the Euro­pean Union Intel­lec­tu­al Prop­er­ty Office in Ali­cante (Spain).

Johan is a native Dutch speak­er and is flu­ent in Eng­lish and French. He also has a good under­stand­ing of Spanish.
