Séverine Bouvy


Séver­ine Bou­vy is spe­cialised in intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty, infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy and pri­va­cy law.

She assists and advis­es clients active in var­i­ous tech­nol­o­gy sec­tors, and has par­tic­u­lar exper­tise in life sciences.

She han­dles con­tentious and non-con­tentious IP and IT relat­ed mat­ters, includ­ing the draft­ing and nego­ti­at­ing com­plex R&D, license and oth­er strate­gic col­lab­o­ra­tion agreements. 

She also advis­es clients on reg­u­la­to­ry mat­ters (includ­ing GDPR compliance).


Séver­ine obtained her mas­ter degree from the Uni­ver­sité catholique de Lou­vain-la-Neuve (UCL) in 2012. She earned an LL.M. from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cam­bridge, Unit­ed King­dom, in 2013 and an LL.M. from the Vri­je Uni­ver­siteit Brus­sel (VUB) in 2014. She is cur­rent­ly pur­su­ing an LL.M. in IP and ICT law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Leu­ven (KUL)

She became a mem­ber of the Brus­sels bar in 2014 and is cur­rent­ly a mem­ber of the Antwerp bar.

Pri­or to join­ing Cresco, Séver­ine worked at inter­na­tion­al law firms. She also gained expe­ri­ence as an in-house senior legal coun­sel in a multi­na­tion­al life sci­ences company.

She is a mem­ber of Licens­ing Exec­u­tives Soci­ety Benelux and IAPP.

Séver­ine speaks French, Eng­lish and Dutch.
