Steven Daems is an experienced litigator with a focus on corporate litigation, commercial disputes and insolvency procedures. He has over 10 years of experience in complex (international) company law matters, contractual litigation and arbitration. His added background as a corporate transactionalist allows him to provide clients with a 360° guidance in all disputes pertaining to the corporate lifecycle, ranging from incorporation and corporate structuring over to contracting, (internal) compliance and operational legal support, all the way through to restructuring, liquidation and bankruptcy.
Steven’s assistance ranges from pre-litigation guidance, settlement negotiations to assistance during shareholders’ and board of directors’ meetings as well as representation in front of Belgian courts and arbitral tribunals.

Steven joined Cresco as from its start in 2014. Prior to that, he had been an associate in the litigation and transactions department of Laurius Advocaten (2008−2013) and a senior associate in the litigation department of Ambos NBGO (2013−2014). He obtained a law degree from the University of Antwerp in 2008, a postgraduate degree in business economics (AMS 2011) and completed the postgraduate study program of receiver/liquidator in 2016 (KUL/UA).
