Tessa Gijbels focuses on corporate, commercial and real estate law in a broad range of industries.
Tessa has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint-ventures and general corporate advisory work. She counsels entrepreneurs, start-ups and established companies on setting up their day-to-day business and structuring and negotiating strategic corporate transactions.
Tessa assists both domestic and international clients on a variety of commercial matters and contracts (such as supply agreements, distribution agreements, agency and franchise agreements, manufacturing, purchasing and co-operation agreements).
Furthermore, she advises clients on real estate related matters, ranging from development and acquisition projects to real estate related agreements (such as construction, concession, building right, lease and EPC agreements).

Prior to being a partner at Cresco, Tessa was (senior) associate in the corporate and commercial department of Ambos NBGO (2010−2014) and associate in the corporate and transactions department of Loyens & Loeff between 2006 and 2010.
She obtained her master in law at Leuven University (KUL, 2004) and also several post-academic degrees: master in tax law, Leuven University (KUL, 2005) and master in economic law, Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve and Sorbonne University of Paris (2006).
