FibriCheck in mobile health investment by LRM and Volta Ventures

Cresco assisted FibriCheck (Qompium NV) in the preparation, negotiation and closing of its EUR 1.5 million Series A round.

The equity investment is made by LRM, investment company stimulating economic growth in the province of Limburg (Belgium), Volta Ventures, venture capital fund for internet & software companies in the Benelux, and certain other private investors and supporters of FibriCheck’s cause.

FibriCheck is an ambitious mobile health company, which recently launched their medically validated application to screen and monitor patients’ cardiac arrhythmias. The application is strongly supported by University of Hasselt and Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg. FibriCheck was awarded the title of ‘most innovative business model’ by Netwerk Ondernemen in the framework of the Boost-Me program.

Co-founder and CEO Bieke van Gorp’s thoughts on Cresco’s assistance: “During the entire investment process, Cresco has shown excellent negotiation skills and a particular attention to detail. We have enjoyed their pro-active approach and dedication. Cresco’s guidance and steering throughout this investment round has been indispensable and we look forward to further cooperation with their talented team in the future.”
